My mission is to help you align with your whole and authentic Self.

Picture a mountain range with peaks, valleys, and everything in between. Each part belongs to the mountain and is a different aspect of the same whole. Now consider that the perspective from the top is different from the perspective from the base, and how both perspectives are valid and potentially useful. Standing on the peak, you get the broader view: you can see the big picture, see the mountain for more of what it is, and more easily connect to the Greater Web of the mountain range. From the valley, you get to feel into the depths of the mountain, experience the mountain as a journey, and harvest the learnings through the climb.

My job is to help you navigate the shadows of the valleys, whether this represents a trauma wound, relationship challenges, feeling lost in life, or managing overwhelming emotions.

I support with tools to cross the terrain (e.g., emotional regulation and mindfulness practices) while inviting more connection to the perspective from the peak (e.g., increasing your connection to your inner North Star and redefining the meaning of challenging events).

Ultimately, the journey through the shadows can help bring you into closer alignment with the fullness of who you are, and the expression of your brilliance.

The path towards healing is with and through the difficult emotions… not against them.

In the shorter term, this can involve supporting your navigation through life’s harsher landscapes by developing coping strategies that better serve you. Over time, this can involve transforming the way you relate to yourself, others, and even painful events from the past. To whatever extent feels right for you, we can work together so that you don’t need to “cope” through emotional pain. Instead, you can learn how to work with the challenging emotions directly, such that those emotions no longer need to feel intimidating. We do this by engaging your innate healing capacities, anchoring in your strengths, and expanding your sense of agency.

Imagine how much energy we reclaim when we are no longer pushing against, invalidating, or avoiding our emotions. Imagine what becomes possible when the emotions we once felt at war with become allies in creating the future we most want.

My job is to help you discover more of who you really are, and my commitment to you is to never lose sight of the powerful potential that exists within you, and within all of us.

Live the Work

In the counselling profession, integrity means responsible care, honest communication, and respect for all people. To me, integrity also means that I continue to walk the path of healing. I don’t counsel one way and live life another way. I am not able to show up to life exactly the way I intend 100% of the time, but I am always healing, growing and expanding. This is what I am genuinely passionate about.

I work holistically, valuing all of your ways of knowing, of accessing wisdom, and the many ways that healing may occur in your life. This can include the logical and rational, emotional, somatic and body-based, intuitive, energetic, cultural, and ancestral domains. And, to the extent that you want, I will work with you to expand and integrate different ways of connecting with and receiving information from yourself and others.

  • Talk-Based Therapy

    Support for individuals using talk therapy, mindfulness and customized somatic (body-based) practices. Each session is a co-creation based on your goals, boundaries, and your sense of emotional and physiological safety. Nothing is forced. I offer gentle questions, reflections, and perspectives to help you expand in self-awareness, self-acceptance, and capacity to show up for yourself and others in the way you truly want.

    Talk Therapy Modalities: Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Jungian Depth Psychology, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • EMDR

    Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based approach that can help with PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety and depression. It utilizes bilateral stimulation (e.g., side-to-side tapping and eye movements) to reprocess past experiences in the present moment.

    In other words, painful and highly activating memories become reprocessed in the mind and body, such that the memory is no longer associated with an intense emotional charge. By the end of the process, overwhelming memories can feel more neutral and negative beliefs can feel less believable.

  • Relationship Counselling

    Talk therapy for couples, friends, and family members to strengthen communication, explore underlying relational patterns, and heal misunderstandings. Together, we’ll discover new ways to meet each person's needs with greater clarity and care. The intention of each session is to help you move towards more openness, understanding and connection, both with yourself and those you care about.
